My SHELF project

Too long contents..... to summary, I want to make a K-POP talk show.

I want to make a Radio program of K- pop music talk show for our SHELF project. Truly, this idea is originated from Jihoon, who is one of members in our same class. He suggested this idea to our group at which we temporally got together to share individual thoughts about SHELF among team members. Anyways, I thought that this will be an attractive choice as SHELF subject.

Why?

Most of all, K-pop talk show can be useful bridge between us and foreigners. Recently, I found Arirang TV channel during hop from channel to channel. After that, I used to watch this channel. Arirang is Korean TV station made for introducing Korea to other countries so it only uses English and provides high quality contents related to Korean history, news and entertainment programs. If I recommend one program among useful programs, I want to draw out K-pop talk show. Because I think K-pop talk show can be a good starting point for foreigners to learn about Korean. This show is able to deliver latest Korea trends nowadays young people like compared with other programs such as news and documentaries program. At this talk show in Arirang, 4 Korean idol stars lead to this program introducing K-pop including songs of theirs. After I tried it, I am really surprised at enormous interests from many foreigners. I saw many foreigners attend SNS events of and video telephone. (These are a part of talk show program.)

Also, I really like listening K-pop music. I’d like to introduce some of songs. Amid them, to briefly introduce my favorite one of several songs, This is ‘지친 하루 윤종신(artist name)’ (an exhausted day at our life – Yoon Jongshin). Truly, there are two version of this song. One is original and version and the other is a cover version made for job seekers in Korea(same song but only is different. What I want to recommend is second. Perhaps, If you listen to this music through M/V, you can understand better.

This song in M/V is about a man trying to find his own way. He is a normal man in Korea. Our society continuously gives young people a strong pressure that they struggle against finding a job. (As many people already know through high unemployment rates in Korea, many young people get seriously stressed looking for a job, but society requires them to conform to this situation as others did yesterday.) But he has his own dream to be a photographer. So this song encourages him to go own way. I also cheered up while listening to this song. To me that the impressive message in this song is to follow your own inside voice 'Whatever you want is the right road in your life'.

Especially, I deeply touched the verse part of lyrics in this song.

Don’t compare me with those around me. Who did say that is right way
There is no right path anywhere. Now, this place I am treading is my own way

Given these reason, I want to make a Talk show for SHELF during our 8 weeks.
