Some Information for Our Discussion:What is the Mers?

Mers : the incurable Middle East Respiratory Syndrome has already claimed three lives in Korea.

Mers : Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) is a viral respiratory infection caused by the newly indentified MERS-coronavirus (MER-CoV)

Where is Mers originated from?
Camels have been shown to have antibodies to MERS- CoV, but the exact source of infection in camels has not been identified.

The current situation in KOREA. June. 11

- The isolation patients are total 3805, 366 people increased compared to June 10.
- There were 10 of the dead in Korea.
- The World Health Organization (WHO) is looking closely into the characteristics and clinical features of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) virus.
- Authority announced the list of hospital spread of Mers June 3.
- A vaccine for the syndrome is in development in different parts of the world.
- Authority suggest a possibility that Mers can spread infection through air
